About Julia

Julia was born as a child of the 80s and is currently based in Düsseldorf, Germany.

As a child, she always wanted to be an illustrator for the Disney Company and all the good, handmade Disney Movies influenced her in her early days.

Julia was always an „artlover“, so after school, she had two choices: Studying art or studying acting. She went with acting and worked as an actress ever since.

But during the Pandemic, she found her voice again in drawing and painting and discovered digital art. Her main programs are procreate and photoshop. She met great artists, who influenced her style and her choice to become a children's book illustrator. She learned in classes by Beatrice Blue and spend a lot of time with different classes and exercises, to learn the fundamentals and finding her style.

She works as an illustrator for the theatre and designs the Poster for all the shows for a young audience. She writes shows and direct them. She loves the colourful imagination of theatre for children, so becoming an picture book illustrator is the obvious choice for her.

She also works for different clients on picture books, animations, logos or flyers. And a lot of stories living in her mind, that one day, she will bring to life.
